This research aims to determine that the learning outcomes of Project Based Learning approach in Introduction to Accounting 2 will yield higher results compared to the conventional approach. The study was conducted using experimental approach. The sample was determined using purposive sampling, which included 60 students from Diploma IV and 58 students from Diploma III at the Accounting Department of the State Polytechnic of Malang. The experimental design employed a 2 x 2 factorial design (Diploma III vs. Diploma IV) and (Project Based Learning vs. Conventional learning). The data analysis was performed using One-Way ANOVA and Post Hoc Test with the Scheffe method. The research findings revealed that: (1) the score of learning outcomes in Introduction to Accounting 2 with Project Based Learning approach among Diploma IV students was higher than the score of learning outcomes with the conventional learning approach; (2) the score of learning outcomes in Introduction to Accounting 2 with Project Based Learning approach among Diploma III students was higher than the score of learning outcomes with the conventional learning approach; (3) the score of learning outcomes in Introduction to Accounting 2 with Project Based Learning approach was not significantly different between Diploma IV and Diploma III students; and (4) the score of learning outcomes in Introduction to Accounting 2 with the conventional learning approach was not significantly different between Diploma IV and Diploma III students.
